Central Coast (California)

A couple of weeks back some friends invited me to visit the Central Coast with them. I'd never been in that part of California. It's very nice and peaceful with a palpable sense of community and hands-on engagement; the residents care a lot about their environment and its eco-system.
Here are snapshots I took during my visit:

Now this is a door of a patriot!
I grew up watching the Bozo Show...and would love
to have a decal like that on my, well, everything

landmark skyline. Sure, they're just smokestacks but it
still looks prettier than Frankfurt, Germany's

So nice to be amongst warm, welcoming God-fearing
households versus the indifferently moralistic ones
on Every Street, America

surfer dudes

no surfer here!

getting ready to kayak!

kayaking is a rather peaceful activity;
good for ordering one's thoughts
