Sailing in Barcelona

I missed community theatre play on Friday. Arrrgh.
But, at the last minute, I joined a Couchsurfing sailing excursion Saturday afternoon. It was great. (Fyi, Barcelona has the Mediterranean Sea, not the ocean).

The group included a Russian, two Italians, and a couple from The Netherlands(?) To my surprise the water is actually softer - I felt lighter...more buoyant - farther from shore and we dove off the boat and swam around for a bit, staying close to the dingy, which was tethered to the back of the boat. Although the motor was off and it didn't look like the boat was moving, forget to mind it and - wtf!? - you'd find yourself quickly left far behind. Suddenly those lost-at-sea movies take on a gut-wrenching realness.
