Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than by the ones you did. So throw off the bowline.
Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sail.
Explore. Dream. Discover

Anne Lamott

On that note, might I interest you in one of my lovely books listed on the left-hand side of the screen? Your other left hand. I certainly haven't written warmly of people who have pissed me off. Hello!

Hitting the gym pretty hard

-
I've been hitting the gym pretty hard and principled these past couple of weeks in preparation for a summer of bodybuilding contests -- and, too, weight-training helps sharpen my focus outside of the gym. My restlessness has gotta be put to good use one way or another. Besides, how else would I maintain this collegiate figure?

Indeed, achieving the pump feels gooood!

It takes two to tango

-
Life is too short to engage with idiots, morons, know-it-all's; and unless you work as a spy it is fruitless to deal with the anonymous blowhard. Question: Who is he/she/it who hasn't the balls to stand by his words? Answer: Persona non grata. In as much as I am mindful to not act on unfounded fears so, too, do I practice short tolerance for faceless agitators on the Web. In other words, arguing with someone you can't see is as asinine as shadow boxing in the dark.

I've had a lot of worries in my life, most of which never happened.

I write to be healthy and wealthy

-
I am a writer because I write. In doing so I am sharing the best of me - my vivid imagination - and always feel fulfilled and more productive for it.

Today is a good day to be healthy, wealthy and writing.

There are no foreign lands.
It is the traveler only who is foreign.

I travel to go

-
...I do not travel to go somewhere. I travel to go.
I travel for travel's sake.
-Robert Louis Stevenson

At the end, regret only what you didn't do

Charlie Rose upon answering what is his motto
(...which is the same as expressed by Mark Twain on the front of this web log!)

Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts. Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the earth all one's lifetime.
